*I was provided a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Jordan and Justine’s Weekend Adventures: For Wildlife Alliance was a very educational book. The illustration had very bright colors that is sure to attract young children. When I read it to my two girls, we had a blast learning about the different animals and cultural foods. Although there were many amazing facts about different wildlife, the book lacked a plot to really keep children engaged. The book seemed more instructional than a story.
Good children’s books need to be instructional, but at the same time provide an exciting and engaging tale. Maybe if the author had created a conflict at the wildlife conservation center that the kids solved using knowledge they gained, it would have been more engaging.
I would still recommend this book for parents to teach their kids about wildlife, but more of an instructional booklet as a lesson’s aid.
